Tuesday- is green waste pick up. Branches and small garden cuttings only. The Village will not pick up grass clippings. If you hire a contractor to remove a tree or do yard work, they are responsible for removal. Green waste until leaf pick up needs to be in a container.

Wednesday – is recyclable pick up. Recyclables must be clean and dumped loose in a container with a lid. This is part of the Village of Yorkville Code.

Thursday – Garbage is collected. Garbage must be in Grey Yorkville bag. The bag needs to be tied. When possible, please have the bag in a garbage can, this helps prevent animals from getting into the bag and littering the streets. 

All recyclable and garbage containers whether Village picked, or a private hauler must be removed from the curb side by 6pm the night of collection and placed no earlier than 6 pm the evening before.

Leaf pick up – Leaf pick up will begin when the leaves have started to heavily lose their leaves. These can be placed at the curb loose. The highway department will be around to collect as needed and throughout the week. There is no set day for this.

Yorkville garbage bags are available for purchase at Chanatry’s, Cliffs Market, Holland Farms, Parkway Drugs, Sam’s Mini Mart, Speedway and Stewart Shops.
